At The Point we offer advise on local attractions, activities and resturants. As the summer season in Kaikoura is very busy, it is a good idea to make bookings in advance.
Visitors to The Point will enjoy a good nights sleep in one of our two guest rooms; The Front Room or The Rutherford Room. Both these Queen rooms have their own private ensuite bathrooms. An electric blanket, room heater, hair dryer, heated towel rail, extra blankets and complementary chocolates are all provided to make your stay with us even more enjoyable.
When you wake, indulge in a delicious continental breakfast at our dining table or on the veranda. Start your day enjoying the panoramic views of the mountains and the sea. Breakfast includes a range of cereals, fresh fruit salad, peaches, toast, home-made spreads, honey, optional farm eggs on toast, orange juice and a selection of herbal teas, tea and coffee.
The Front Room
The Front Room is a relatively new addition to The Point having been built onto the original house in about 1980. It was recently re-decorated in early 2008 and has a fresh modern feel and enjoys wonderful sea and mountain views. A T.V. is also available in the room.

The Rutherford Room
The Rutherford Room was originally the maid's quarters in the Rutherford family home. This room is decorated in an traditional New Zealand country style. Its peaceful setting benefits from views out into a newly planted garden, featuring native New Zealand plants and fruit trees.
